Sugar in the news in New Zealand

16 / 04 / 18

Sugar has been receiving a lot of media attention in New Zealand over the past year. The latest is a series on Fairfax Media via their channel called The Sugar Fix. The series is written by journalist Rachel Thomas who traveled to the USA to 'investigate sugar’, on a scholarship provided by nib (health fund) New Zealand. The series specifically focuses on a sugar tax but also discusses sugary drinks, obesity and diabetes rates, and includes international stories and opinion pieces. It contains both positive and negative stories about a sugar tax. You can find it here.
